Library

Loaning and services

Laurea Library is open to public. You can use the same library card in all 3AMK libraries as well as other UAS, university and Helmet or Helle library cards. Contact staff for more information. Welcome!

How do I get a library card?

The Laurea Library is open to all customers. To get a library card, visit the Laurea Library and bring a photo ID. Laurea students can create their library card through the Tuudo app.

A customer of the 3AMK libraries (Haaga-Helia, Laurea, Metropolia) can borrow materials from all three libraries with a single library card. The 3AMK libraries share a common database. An existing UAS or university library card or a Helmet or Helle card can be activated to the customer record, but this requires library staff to be present.

Using the library card requires registration as a customer of the Laurea Library, whereby you agree to the Laurea Library’s terms of use.

Interlibrary loans

Interlibrary loan service for own individual customers

With interlibrary loan, you have access to the collections of libraries across Finland. If you live on the other side of the country and want to interlibrary loan a book from the Laurea Library, contact your local library and ask them to request the book from Laurea for you.

The Laurea Library provides interlibrary loans from other libraries in Finland to its customers with the following restrictions:

  • Interlibrary loans are generally not requested from public libraries.
  • Interlibrary loans are requested only for material that is not in the collections of the 3AMK libraries (Laurea, Haaga-Helia and Metropolia).
  • Interlibrary loan requests are submitted to the customer service of your campus library or by email. Interlibrary loans are returned to the campus library from which they were ordered.

Pricing

  • Interlibrary loans and article copies for external customers cost €15 / loan or article.
